Lincoln County After Action Report

July 3rd, 2007 by nigel

Nigel submits his post-expedition report to the JET leadership several days after the conclusion of the expedition. In his report he is brutally frank about the failings of the expedition, personally taking full reponsibility for the entanglement and resulting civilian casualties related to the Murphy - McSweeny conflict. He however commends Sergent Featheroff for his efficient management of the JET security logistics, as well as the team which captured the pirate airships, and later flew them against the remaining air pilots, particularly the expedition memebers who on short notice, and with minimal facilities, constructed an aeroplane, and Lt. Zapatori who flew the experimental controption, for the first time, in combat.

Nigel notes that the Technospehre generators and RFID card worked as expected, and recommends their continued use in furture expeditions. Security escorts for most teams (with the possible exception of Paris) seemed adequate, and all exploration teams, as well as the expedition itself, returned with no missing or KIA, and few casualties overall.

As he was not a participant of any of the teams exploring new shards (only the team which returned to the Midwest), he has no comment on any of their specific activities, however he does note the need for a greater adhearance to team protocall (only 3 of the teams reported in when they returned), and notes the critical need for an expedition coordinator to collect and document the findings, including security concerns, observed by the exploration teams. Alice Woodcliffe has volunteered to lead this effort, and given her valuable assistance in dealing with the delagation from Oxa, Nigel strongly recommends that she be considered for this position.

With respect to the two delagates from Oxa, Nigel beleies that they are representatives of a law enforcement organization from their shard, the same organization as their comrade who was killed at Penn State. However he was unable to determine what crime the two women were wanted for, and to what ends they would go to apprehend them, or why their comrade was apparently armed with a weapon of great destructive power. They left, in nigel’s possession two items, one of which appears to be a warrent of some sort, while the other is appreantly a device which will signal the agents from Oxa, after whicht hey will create a portal to the caller’s location. Nigel’s report contains copies of the text from both documents, but will retain the orginals until JET leadership instructs him to deliver them to someone else.

With this report Nigel relinquishes his post as security commander for JET Expedition A to Lincoln County.
